Bleeding from the Scalp and its first aid treatment
Scalp wounds bleed profusely due to rich blood supply, and the tendency of the scalp wound to remain gaping. There may be underlying fracture of the skull, and damage to the brain inside the skull.
First Aid
1.Control the bleeding using direct pressure by dressing and a triangular bandage.
2.If the victim is conscious, lay him down with his head and shoulder raised.
3.Check vital parameters and level of consciousness every ten minutes.
4.If he becomes unconscious and cardiorespiratory arrest develops, begin resuscitation immediately.
5.Shift him to a hospital immediately.
