What is Headache:

Violent pain occurs on both the sides of the temples in headache. It is called headache. There are 11 kinds of headache as headache due to vata, sankhak, ardhvibhedak, headache due to collapsing fever, headache due to blood disorders, headache due to tuberculosis, headache due to pitta, headache due to kapha, headache due to worms, headache due to migraine and annatvata. It is not a disease in itself and if a person becomes the victim of this disease without reason, it ends within 2-3 days itself.

Causes :

Headache occurs because of excessive bleeding from the veins of the head.

It occurs because of high blood pressure.

Headache occurs when arteries of the brain expand because of fever.

Excessive anger may be the cause of headache.

Contraction in the muscles of the brain increases because of excessive anxiety. It is a cause of headache.

A person becomes the victim of headache in the lack sleep or no sleep.

Headache occurs because of the origin of poisonous liquid, urine disease, constipation and indigestion.

It arises if there is boil, swelling and water in the head.

Headache arises because of eyes weakness and eye, ear, nose, throat and teeth diseases.

Headache produces because of fever, cold, excessive heat, anemia, weakness in the brain, defect in any body organ of the body and diabetes.

It arises because of excessive work, indulgence in a work for a long time and living in the same surrounding for a long time.

Reading for a long time and watching TV by lying on bed may be the cause of headache. Wandering in sun is also a cause of this problem.

Symptoms :

Several types of symptoms appear in a patient who has been suffering from headache and we can identify headache by these symptoms. Following symptoms appear in a patient of headache- nose bleeding, fast heart beatings, low eyesight, restlessness, sensation of fierce pain in head and vomiting occasionally.

A person feels pain in the backside of the head and heaviness in the head.

A patient feels heaviness in the head and coolness in head when his brain is congested with phlegm in head.

In vata headache, it arises all of sudden. This pain increases at night.

A person feels his head hot like fire during day and cold at night in the headache produced due to pitta.

Symptoms of vata, pita and kapha are the symptoms of collapsing fever.

A patient feels ache like pinching in headache caused by tuberculosis. A patient becomes unconscious and his eyeballs are reversed.

If there is headache because of worms, water falls from the nose and blood comes with phlegm. The patient feels inflexibility in head.

A patient suffers from headache as sun rises and cools down as sun falls down. Headache vanishes in the evening.

The patient feels pain in the eyes, neck and head veins if there is pain in the head because of annatvata.

Fierce headache rises in temple in shankhak headache. Besides it, there is an inflammation and red colour swelling on the head.

There is ache in one side of the temple, eye, ear, eyebrow and forehead in ardhvibhedak ache.

Symptoms of headache appear because of blood and pitta disorders are same.

Food and abstinence :

Pulse, old ghee, bitter gourd, Indian gooseberry, lambs quarter, pomegranate, citron, mango, lemon, coconut, oil, sour water (kanji), whey, shali rice, rice of santhi and meat of jungle animals are useful for a patient of headache.

Suppression of urine, sleeping during day and use of different natured foodstuffs are harmful for the patient. Walking in sun, going for sleeping in late hours at night and excessive copulation are avoidable for the patient of headache.

Treatment :

1. Grind garlic and apply on the temple like paste. Headache disappears by its use.
2. Grind garlic and take mixing with 10-30 drops of honey. Headache will disappear by its use.
3.  Pour one or two drops of garlic juice in the nostril of which side there is headache. Its use ends migraine.
4.  Mix 20 grams pure ghee in 250 ml milk and drink. Taking 25 grams sugar candy mixed butter is also useful for the patient. Besides these, boil four date palms in 250 ml milk and take. Headache due to brain weakness disappears by these medicines
5.  .
6.  Headache ends by eating jalebi with milk within few days.
7.  Mix sugar in milk and take through nose. Its use ends migraine by this medicine.
8.  Headache named shankhak disappears by pouring cold milk and water on the head.
9.  Mix sugar in milk and water. Boil this preparation and take its vapor. This formula will diminish headache.
10.  Massage your back with butter of goat milk. Its use ends headache due to excessive warmth.
11.  Hemicrania will disappear by drinking sugar candy mixed milk. Take either coconut water or milk through nose. Besides, you can take cold water or ghee through nose to get relief in headache.
12.  Grind dry ginger with cow milk and apply upon the head. Headache will disappear within 7-8 hours by its use.
13.  Squeeze a lemon in tea and take. Its use provides relief. Pestle lemon leaves and take its smell through nose. This smell will end headache.
14.  Cut a lemon into two pieces and heat it a little. Foment temples by these lemon pieces for one hour. Its use ends forehead ache.
15.  If there is headache because of wind in the stomach, mix lemon juice in lukewarm water and drink. Its use ends headache.
16.  Grind red alum with half-gram lemon juice and drink. Headache will disappear by its use.
17.  Extract juice by grinding lemon leaves and take its smell. This preparation will end headache.
18.  Pour 2-3 drops of lemon juice in the nostril of which side there is headache. Its use cures hemicrania.
19.  Hemicrania will vanish by pouring 2 drops of kagzi lemon juice into the nose.
20.  Mix lemon juice in basil juice each in equal quantity. Take it to end headache.
21.  Headache will disappear by smelling lemon leaves regularly.
22.  Headache will disappear by taking lemon tea.
23.  Cut an apple into pieces and sprinkle rock salt on it. Take it regularly for some days, it ends headache forever.
24.  Shuffle liquorice, sugar candy and ghee. Smell it to end headache due to pitta disorder.
25.  Mix 1.5 grams liquorice with 1\4 gram singiya. Smell this preparation, it ends headache.
26.  Mix a little mustard oil in 10 grams liquorice powder and 40 grams powder of glory lily. Smell it, it is a good remedy for the treatment of headache.
27.  Shuffle barley with one spoon juice of coach grass. Massage head by this preparation properly.
28.  Inhale 8-10 drops of winged leaved clitoria or its roots juice on empty stomach before sun rising. Its use ends headache.
29.  Application of green mint leaves juice on the head is an efficacious medicine for the treatment of headache.
30.  Grind mint leaves with water and apply on the forehead. Its use will diminish headache.
31.  Grind small cardamom with water and apply on the head. This formula will end headache.
32.  Prepare the fine powder by grinding small cardamom and smell. Its use ends headache.
33.  Grind peel of red cardamom with water and apply on the head like paste. Its use ends headache.
34.  Mix cardamom oil with peppermint, camphor and cow ghee. Apply this preparation on the head.
35.  Prepare a paste by mixing one big cardamom, two small cardamom and half-gram camphor in rose water.
36.  Grind 21 cardamoms and mix 2 pinches powder of small pepper in it. Mix honey with this powder in equal quantity and take.
37.  Grind cardamom and apply on the head. Its application ends headache. Smell this powder, it is also beneficial to end headache.
38.  Grind 5 grams Indian gooseberry with 10 grams coriander and immerse in an earthen pots water. Filter this mixture in the morning and drink. Its use ends headache due to walking in sun.
39.  Drink Indian gooseberry syrup, it ends the headache due to heat.
40.  Massage head with Indian gooseberry water. This formula ends headache.
41.  Grind coriander and apply on the head like paste. Its use ends pain due to heat.
42.  Immerse dry ginger 10 grams and 5 grams Indian gooseberry without stone in an earthen pot. Crush the mixture in this water and drink after mixing sugar candy. Its use ends forehead and vertigo.
43.  If headache arises because of cold, grind dry coriander, dry ginger, leaves of tea and basil. Mix a little water in this paste. Heat this paste in a big spoon and apply upon the forehead. Its use ends headache.
44.  If the cause of headache is heat, dry ginger should not be mixed in the paste. Make a paste only by mixing coriander and basil. Apply it on the head to get relief.
45.  Boil coriander and mix sugar candy in it. Drink this mixture, it ends headache, vertigo, vomiting and vomiting of a pregnant woman.
46.  Grind green or raw coriander and apply on the head. Its use ends headache.

75.  Oil obtained from dashmularishth roots should be mixed in edipat Alba oil. Massage head with this oil, it ends headache. Take one gram juice of edipta alba, 2 grams sour water, 5 ml juice of plum tree leaves, 6 ml juice of small gourd, 3 ml juice of horse radish tree, dry ginger, trchosanthes dioica, turmenric, Malabar nut , rock salt, myrolelans and basil leaves. Cook this mixture in mustard oil. Oil quantity should be one fourth than the mixture. Cook it until oil remains only and water disappears. Fill this preparation in a bottle after filtering. All head diseases disappear by smelling this oil.
76.  Chew four soft leaves of pipal tree and suck its juice. Throw these ground leaves after sucking.
77.  Make powder by grinding 2-3 pods of small pepper and mix honey in it. The patient should lick this powder to reduce headache.
78.  Grind pipal, dry ginger, nut grass, liquorice, Indian dill fruit, costus root and blue lotus each in equal quantity. Apply this paste on the head. Its use ends the headache produced due to phlegm.
79.  Hemicrania along with headache disappear by smelling juice or decoction of small pepper and sweet flag.
80.  Grind rock salt with long pepper and smell. This medicine ends headache produced due to tridoshas.

83.  Headache disappears by massaging head with almond oil (badam rogan).
84.  Grind one kernels of almond with mustard oil and rub upon the head. Headache disappears by its use.
85.  Immerse 10 kernels of almond, 6 grams Indian pennywort and 7 black peppers in water at night. Grind it in the morning after peeling them. Make syrup by mixing sugar candy in it. All types of headache disappear by its use.
86.  Prepare a paste by grinding magaj, almond and apply on the head. This preparation is useful for the treatment.
87.  Massage with almond oil if there is violent headache.
88.  Grind almond kernels with vinegar and apply on the head. Its use ends headache and sciatica pain.
89.  Grind the flowers of Petrospermum acerifolium with sour water (kanji) and apply on the forehead or head. This medicine ends headache due to air.
90.  Grind Petrospermum acerifolium flowers with whey and apply like paste. This medicine ends headache soon.
91.  Grind costus root and castor root with sour water (kanji) and apply like paste. Its use ends headache.
92.  Grind costus root along with rosewater and apply on the forehead to get relief.
93.  Grind red sandal, liquorice, cus cus, and country mellow, blue lotus and land snail each in equal quantity with cow milk. Apply this preparation on the head like paste. This medicine ends the headache produced due to bile disorders.
94.  Make fine powder by grinding white sandal powder, small cardamom, deshi camphor or sugar each 10 grams and 5 grams neem bark with 50 grams sal ammonic. Headache disappears by smelling it and applying its paste on the head. This medicine is beneficial in scorpion or wasp biting.
95.  Grind red sandal with holy water and apply on the forehead. This medicine ends headache.
96.  Headache disappears by applying pure sandal on the forehead.
97.  Cook sandal oil, camphor and cinnamon oil each 10 ml with 250 ml sesame oil. Headache disappears by massaging this oil on the head. Pour 2-3 drops of this oil into the ears, it is also useful.
98.  Take 1-2 grams rauwolfia serpentina powder before going to bed. This medicine ends headache produced due to chronic disorders in nervous system.
99.  Grind red sandal and mix camphor in it. Apply it on the head or forehead. This medicine ends headache.
100.  Grind spikenard, cedar, Indian vulerian, costus root and dry ginger with sour water (kanji). Mix it in ghee or oil and apply on the head. This medicine ends headache produced due to hemicrania.
101.  Grind spikenard and sesame with water. Mix salt in it and apply on the head. This medicine ends hemicrania.
102.  Mix dry ginger powder in four-fold water. Headache disappears by smelling this powder.

104.  Cook dry ginger, myrolelans, neem bark, Indian gooseberry, beleric myrobalan and juice of raw turmeric each in equal quantity in eight-fold water until it remains one fourth. Mix jiggery in it and take regularly twice a day. Chronic headache disappears by its use.
105.  Grind two cloves with a little dry ginger and apply on the forehead. Headache disappears by its use.
106.  Grind dry ginger with water and apply on the forehead. This formula ends headache produced due to coryza.
107.  Grind dry ginger, kirmala, long pepper, chilly root and seeds of horseradish tree with cow urine. Smell this powder to end headache produced due to worms.
108.  Grind sunflower powder with its juice and apply on the head like paste. This formula stops headache along with hemicrania.
109.  Mix ghee and rock salt in the decoction of dashamool. Headache and hemicrania disappear by smelling this decoction.

129.  Grind black pepper corns and five basil leaves. Mix this paste in one glass water and take in the morning for 21 days regularly. Its use ends the heat of the brain.
130.  Headache disappears by taking ghee and jiggery mixed myrolealans powder.
131.  Grind myrolelans, Indian gooseberry, beleric myrobalan, pauonia odorata and barilla. Make thick paste by mixing linseed oil in it. Headache disappears by applying it.
132.  Peel 10 grams big myrolelans and immerse in water for three days. Keep this preparation in sunlight. On fourth day, mix ground bark of 11 myrolelans in this mixture and keep it again for three days in sunlight. Now mix 500 grams sugar in it and make syrup. 141.  Mix juice of pomegranate flowers with the juice of mango flower. Headache due to blood pressure disappears by smelling it.
142.  Grind pomegranate leaves and sandal with water. Apply this paste on the forehead. Its use stops headache.
143.  Make the fine powder by grinding half kg pomegranate leaves dried in shadow with half kg dry coriander. Mix one kg wheat flour in it and toast the whole preparation with 2 kg cow ghee. Thereafter, mix 4 kg sugar in it and take 50 grams twice a day with hot milk. Its use stops headache and vertigo.
144.  Grind the bark of pomegranate and apply on the head. Its use stops headache and hemicrania.
145.  Sometimes, a person becomes the victim of headache and red eyes due to heat or sunstrokes. In this condition, extract juice by squeezing ripe pomegranate seeds and boil mixing with 1.5 fold sugar until treacle generates. Thereafter, mix 5 grams saffron and 10 grams cardamom powder in it. Mix this preparation in water each 20-25 grams and take. This preparation provides relief soon in bile disorders due to heat. This syrup should drink to get relief in headache, inflammation in the eyes and restlessness due to sunlight.
146.  Grind henna leaves with vinegar and apply on the head like paste. Its use stops head due to walking in sunlight.
147.  Grind sesame leaves with water or vinegar. Apply this paste, it ends headache.
148.  Grind cinnamon with water and apply on the head like paste. Headache due to exposure to cold wind or walking in cold disappears by this application.
149.  Grind cinnamon, sugar candy and cinnamomum tamala with rice water. Headache due to heat or bile disorders disappears by its use.
150.  Mix 5-6 drops of cinnamon oil in 2-4 spoons of sesame oil. Massage head with this oil to get relief in headache.
151.  Apply clove oil on the head or forehead to get relief in headache. This oil can also be dropped into the nose.
152.  Grind 2-3 cloves and half-gram opium with water. Heat this paste and apply on the head. Headache due to air or cold disappears by its use.
153.  Take 1-2 grams clove and cinnamon with the pulp of emetic nut. Its use stops headache. This preparation should not be given in excessive quantity to the patient because a person can vomits by taking it in excessive use.
154.  Grind cloves and apply on the head or forehead. Headache disappears soon by this application.
155.  Grind 5 grams cloves with one cup of water and boil it until it remains half. Filter it and take after mixing sugar in it 2-4 times a day regularly.
156.  Grind cloves and apply on the head. Headache disappears soon by its use.
157.  Grind 6 grams cloves with water and apply on the temples. Its use stops headache.
158.  Mix camphor in 2-3 drops of gulrogan (rose flower mixed sesame oil) and pour into the nose. Its use stops headache that creates as sun rises.

160.  Grind camphor and sandal with the juice of basil leaves. Its application stops headache.
161.  Grind onion and apply on the soles like paste. Its use provides relief in headache.

163.  Mix 1\4 grams sugar candy in the juice of ten leaves of oleander. Smell this mixture, it stops headache.
164.  Dry yellow oleander leaves in shadow and grind. Take this powder equal to two rice and smell through nose. A person sneezes repeatedly by smelling this mixture and in this way headache disappears.
165.  Boil yellow oleander leaves in water and mix sesame or mustard oil in it. Massage head with this oil to stop headache.
166.  Grind turmeric and sal ammonic each one gram. Smell it, it stops headache.
167.  Grind turmeric with water and make thick paste. Apply this application on the head to get relief in headache.
168.  Immerse 4 grams flowers of henna and 3 grams Tragacanth gum in an earthen pots water. Grind this preparation with sugar candy in the morning. Take this preparation, it ends burning sensation and hair fall along with headache.
169.  Immerse 4 grams aniseeds in an earthen bowl at night. Grind it in the morning and take it after mixing jiggery in it. Its use stops headache and inflammation of the head or hair fall.
170.  Grind aniseed and castor root altogether. Apply this paste upon the head. All head diseases disappear by its use.
171.  Grind the wood of cedar with water and apply on the temples. This application stops headache.
172.  Toast one kg seeds of fetid cassia with ghee and make a fine powder. Thereafter, grind nutmeg, mace, dry ginger, cloves, cus cus each 6 grams, 3 grams saffron, 10 grams cinnamon and 23 grams seeds of small cardamom. Mix it with this powder. The diseases as exhaustion, laziness, headache and anorexia are cured by this medicine.
173.  Prepare a powder by grinding sal ammonic and shell. Smell this powder, it stops headache.
174.  Grind 10 grams sal ammonic and fill in a bottle. Take 1-1 spoon twice a day for 10-12 days regularly. This formula stops chronic headache. Give 1-1 spoon of this preparation to the patient before and after headache. Headache disappears by its use.
175.  Grind seed of varn beej and apply on the head. Its use stops headache.
176.  Mix equal amount of ginger juice and milk properly. Smell this preparation, it stops headache.
177.  Grind jiggery, rock salt and long pepper with ginger juice. All head diseases disappear by taking it with water and smelling.
178.  If there is headache due to heat, pour ginger juice in nose. Headache disappears by following this formula this formula.
