रतालू
रतालू का पत्ता देखने में सुंदर परंतु हाथ लगाने पर खुरदरा होता है ।
लाभ तथा गुण
मंदगिनी रोग का रतालू द्वारा उपचार – रतालू एक किलो लेकर उसे छीलकर छोटे-छोटे टुकड़ों में काट लें । इसके पश्चात उन्हें पानी में डालकर उबाल लें । जब उबल जाएं तो नीचे उतार कर आटे की भांति मसलें ।
आधा किलो गाय का घी लेकर, कड़ाही में डालकर आग पर रखें । उसमें एक किलो आटा भुन लें । जब आटा भुन जाए तो उस में रतालू का आटा भी मिला दें ।
अब इन दोनों को हलकी आंच पर भूनते हुए हिलाते रहें । जब इनका रंग बादामी हो जाए तो उसमें 1 ½ किलो शकर मिला दें । अब काली मिर्च, तज, सोंठ, बादाम, छोटी पीपरी, सब 50-50 ग्राम लेकर उन्हें कूट-पीसकर कड़ाही में डालकर अच्छी तरह से मिला दें । इसके पश्चात् उनके लड्डू बना दें ।
एक-एक लड्डू प्रतिदिन खाने से मंदाग्नि रोग शांत हो जाता है । इसके साथ-साथ शीत वाट-विकार भी दूर हो जाते हैं ।
