The Rules for application of bandages on Lower limb
The thigh is bandaged in the same way as the arm and shoulder. While bandaging the upper part of the thigh it can be fixed passing a spica round the pelvis. The leg is bandaged by a spiral bandage with reverses passing down below to the joint. The knee joint is bandaged with a covergent or a divergent spica. A convergent spica on the knee is started with circular turns across the knee cap and each successive turn is passed higher and lower than the preceding ones, crossing in the hollow at the back of the knee. A divergent spica is started with circular turns above and below the knee joint, and turns are gradually brought towards the center completely covering the knee.
