The Rules for application of bandages on Head
- Cut a 70 to 80 cm long piece of roller bandage and put it over the crown of the head in such a way that two equal tapes hand down in front of the ears. Ask the patient or an assistant to hold it there.
- Wind a roller bandage round the head several times at the level of the forehead.
- Put the end of the tapes downwards and circle the bandage around one of them.
- Then direct the bandage somewhat obliquely over the back of the head to the other end of the tape, circle around it and bring it back over the anterior part of the head nearer to the
- Circle the first tape again and pass the bandage over the back of the head a little higher than the first time. Circle the other tape and pass the bandage over the front of the head a little higher than the first time. Continue this until the entire head is covered.
- Tie the ends of the vertically applied tapes under the chin.
