Propagating herbs
There are many people who are keen cooks and who would like to sue fresh herbs form their gardens or be able to make herb teas and simple remedies, potpourris and pomanders. But they may not feel they are competent gardeners – “I haven’t got green fingers, only a purple thumb,’ they say! For those people the solution would be to buy established plants form a nursery and then put them in a sunny position in the garden, within easy reach of the kitchen.
An herb garden requires a patch of well- forked soil about four meters square. There are three ways to propagating herbs plants – by seed, cuttings, or by root division.
