खैर (कत्था)
संस्कृत नाम – खदिर (श्वेतखदिर)
खेर के वृक्ष का कद अधिक बड़ा नहीं होता, इसके पत्ते काफी लंबे होते हैं, यह काफी उपयोगी वृक्ष माना जाता है, जो निम्नलिखित रोगों के उपचारक कार्य में सहयोग देता है |
वायु रोग
पुराने खैर का छिलका 20 ग्राम
हल्दी 5 ग्राम
नमक लाहौरी 5 ग्राम
इन सब को कूट-पीसकर गुनगुने पानी में मिलाकर तीन सप्ताह तक सेवन करने से वायु रोग जड़ से चला जाता है |
गर्मिदाने, फोड़े-फुंसियां
कत्था का चूर्ण, सुपारी की राख खड़-राहत मिलाकर गर्मिदानों, फोड़े-फुंसियों पर लगाने से रोगी एक सप्ताह में ठीक हो जाता है |

Sanskrit name – Khadir (Svetkdir)
