संस्कृत नाम – मुशीर
खस गांडर एक घास की जड़ है | गांडर घास जड़ को खस कहते है | इसकी तासीर ठंडी है | अनेक गुणों वाली खस निम्नलिखित रोगों को ठीक करने में सफल मानी जाती है :
पित्त, ज्वर, रक्त विकास तथा कृमि विष को नष्ट करने वाला है |
गर्मी से बचने के लिए लोग इसकी चिकें खसखस की टट्टियां बनाकर घरों के दुवारों पर तथा तथा खिडकियों पर टांग देते है |
खस का चुरा पिडोर, मिट्टी तथा कपूर एक कपडे की एक पोटली में रखकर गुलाब-जल में भिगोकर सूंघने से सर दर्द दूर हो जाता है |
तीसरे दिन का बुखार
खस धनियां, नागरमोथा, लाल चंदन और सोंठ इक सबको मिलाकर काढ़ा तैयार करें और शहद मिलाकर दिन में तीन बार सेवन करने से दस दिन में रोगी पूर्ण रूप से ठीक हो जाता है |
