Burns-Clinical features of burns: Severe pain, Redness and swelling
- There is severe pain at and around the site of burns.
- Redness and swelling develop around the bums.
- The skin around a severe bum is gray and charred.
- The victim may be in shock.
- There may be breathlessness due to inhalation of fumes.
- Blisters are vesicles in the skin. They appear late in superficial bums.
- Later on features of complications like infection may develop.
