Burns-Clinical features of burns: Severe pain, Redness and swelling

1. There is severe pain at and around the site of burns.
2. Redness and swelling develop around the bums.
3. The skin around a severe bum is gray and charred.
4. The victim may be in shock.
5. There may be breathlessness due to inhalation of fumes.
6. Blisters are vesicles in the skin. They appear late in superficial bums.
7. Later on features of complications like infection may develop.
