Introduction :
No food, no sleep and delusion are some symptoms of insanity in a person. If a person does not sleep because of mental disturbance, it is insanity, if a person is not satisfied in his sexual life, it is erotomenia and if he fails in love, it is mania. In this disease mental state of the patient becomes disturbed consequently, he commits vulgar activities or conversation. Whenever inner warmth increases and reaches to the brain, light fit of insanity attacks. He has no sense what he is doing. He tattles wrong words. His sense began to decay and the patient becomes the victim of insanity.
Causes :
Main causes of this disease are as injury in the mind, heart and brain. Use of polluted food, poisonous food, enmity to someone, great lust for sex, great fear, excessive grief or happiness are some other causes of insanity. Besides these, great depression, too much anxiety and defeat in love can also be the causes of insanity. A person can be the victim of insanity by excessive use of wine, cigarettes, involvement in bad thoughts and loss of sperm due to excessive copulation. The patient of this disease has no control over his brain and loses his senses.
Symptoms :
In this disease, the patient becomes confused because of the loss of the brain. He observes here and there. His thinking power destroys and he has no courage. He lives always with fear and chatters all the time. He weeps and laughs without reason. Besides these, other related symptoms are as excessive verbal communication, strange physical activities with hands and feet dancing, singing, shamelessness, wandering in nude state. Exposure of anger, constant desire for water, paleness in the body, saliva from the mouth, vomiting, no identification of filth, loss of strength and flesh are also the symptoms of the disease named insanity.
Meal and abstinence :
Wheat, red rice, curd, greasy-sweet and tasty food, old ghee, trichosanthus dioica, mango, lambus quarter, sweet grapes, sweet apples, watermelon, muskmelon, almond kernel, almond oil and spinach can be taken in this disease.
Excessive salt, chilly and oily foodstuff should not be taken. Wine, hot food, double natured food, cucumber, kakari, bitter gourd and leafy vegetable should not be taken by the patient of insanity.
Treatment :
- Boil pomegranate green leaves and rose flowers each 15 grams in half-liter water until it remains 1\4. Mix ghee in it after filtering and give to the patient to drink. Its use ends the fits of insanity.
- Prepare a decoction by boiling 20 leaves of pomegranate. Mix cow ghee and sugar each 10 grams in it. Give this preparation to the patient to drink. Its use provides relief in insanity caused by epilepsy.
- Sprinkle lemon, black peppers and salt on 250 grams pieces of guavas. Take these guavas to strengthens muscles and end warmth of the brain. In this way, insanity disappears.
- Anxiety ends by eating guavas in the morning on empty stomach. Symptoms of insanity end after reducing anxiety and body warmth ends.
- Mix 6 ml juice of Indian pennywort, powder of costus root 2 grams with 6 grams honey properly. Take this preparation thrice a day. Its use cures chronic insanity.
- Shuffle 3 grams Indian pennywort, 2 grams black peppers, almond kernel, seeds of magaj and sugar candy each 3 grams with 25 ml water. Take this preparation after filtering. Its use cures insanity.
- Grind Indian pennywort 3 grams and 2 grams black peppers. Taking this preparation thrice a day, it ends forgetfulness.
- Cook one kg. Indian pennywort with 250 grams sugar candy until treacle produces. Take 15-25 grams this preparation with water thrice a day. Its use provides relief in chronic diseases of vata nerves. In this way, insanity is cured.
- Mix costus root powder and honey in Indian pennywort juice. Give it to the patient to lick. Its use cures insanity.
- Grind sweet flag, costus root, and convolvulus pluricaulis with Indian pennywort juice. Take this preparation with old ghee of cow. Its use ends insanity.
- Grind half spoon caraway with four dry grapes and dissolve in half-cup water. Take it twice a day. Its use ends insanity.
- Take the powder of custard apple; it is very useful for the treatment of insanity.
- Grind one-gram Indian atees powder with 3-4 flowers of shoe flower and extract juice. Take this juice regularly for some days, it ends this disease.
- Grind 15 leaves of basil with five black peppers and dissolve in a cup of water. Take it twice a day regularly; it is very useful for the treatment of insanity, coryza and pneumonia.
- Immerse 60 grams gram (chana) in water and mix sugar in it in the morning. Drink it to end warmth of bile and thus insanity is cured.
- Immerse 50 grams pulse of gram in 125 ml water and grind in the morning. Filter this water and give to the patient for drinking by mixing sugar. Its use ends insanity.
- Grind 12 black peppers with 3 grams leaves of indian penny wort and mix in half glass water. Give this water to the patient to drink after filtering. Insanity is cured by its use.
- Grind black peppers, white mustard, small pepper, turmeric, Indian berberry, asafetida, madder root and albizzia lebbeck seeds each in equal quantity into fine powder. Grind this powder again with goat urine and make the patient smell or apply in the eyes. Its use ends insanity.
- Make the fine powder by grinding black peppers, dry ginger, long pepper, toasted asafetida, sweet flag and rock salt each 5 grams. Filter this powder and grind again with cow urine. Apply it in the eyes for the treatment of insanity.
- Grind one-gram black pepper and 10 grams small chandad (chandrbhaga). Mix half gram this powder in rose water and give to the patient twice a day. Its use relieves in the worse condition of insanity.
- Mix black peppers powder in ghee and give to the patient to eat. Its use ends insanity caused by flatulence.
- Grind black peppers and seeds of datura with water. Prepare tablets equal to 1\4 grams. Take 1-1 tablet with butter, it is useful for the treatment of insanity.
- Fill a cup watermelon juice, one-cup milk and 30 grams sugar candy in a bottle. Hang this bottle on a spike in open sky in moon light at night. Give this water in the morning to the patient on empty stomach. Its use ends insanity caused by delusion.
- Immerse 10 grams seeds of watermelon in water at night and grind them in the morning. Mix sugar candy in it and give to the patient to drink. Its use cures this disease named insanity.
- Mix 30 grams sugar candy in watermelon juice and cow milk each one cup. Fill this preparation in a white bottle of lead and hang upon a spike in moon light at night. Give this preparation to the patient in the morning. Insanity and delusion are cured by following this formula for 21 days regularly.
- Mix Convolvulus pluricaulis, Indian pennywort and ambar with honey properly. Give this preparation to the patient to lick. Its use cures this disease named insanity.
- Mix sugar candy with 40 grams powder of Convolvulus pluricaulis and one gram bitter costus root powder. Give this preparation to the patient to drink. Its use cures insanity.
- Shuffle 10 grams Convolvulus pluricaulis, 110 grams black peppers, 7 kernels of almond and 6 grams kernel of ash gourd like syrup (shikanji). Give this preparation to the patient for drinking regularly for one month. This formula cures insanity.
- Take four-spoon juice of Convolvulus pluricaulis panchang regularly, it is very beneficial in this disease.
- Mix the powder of ash gourd with the powder of costus root each half gram. Take it mixing with 5 grams honey. Its use cures insanity.
- Mix ash gourd, Convolvulus pluricaulis, Indian pennywort and give to the patient with cow milk todrink. The patient of insanity gets free from this disease.
- A patient gets free from this disease by taking 28-112 ml juice of ash gourd.
- Grind sweet flag, flowers of albizzia lebbeck, madder root, long pepper, mustard, turmeric and dry ginger with billy goat urine. Prepare tablets equal to gram and dry them in shadow. Grind one tablet with water and apply in victims eyes for the treatment of insanity.
- Mix sweet flag, aloe vera juice and Convolvulus pluricaulis with the juice of ash gourd. Drink it to cure insanity.
- Mix 3 grams alum with 250 grams butter and give to the patient to eat. Its use cures insanity.
- Take 1-1 gram toasted alum with milk twice a day with milk. This medicine cures insanity.
- Drink coconut water twice a day, it is very beneficial to cure the disease insanity.
- Grind Rauwolfia serpentina root with one-gram water and take twice a day. Sugar candy mixed goat milk should be drunk after taking this medicine. Its use cures insanity caused by enthusiasm.
- Take 10-20 grams Rauwolfia serpentina fruits powder twice a day. The patient takes sound sleep after its use and the disease named insanity is cured.

- Grind properly datura leaves and black peppers each in equal quantity with water. Make tablets 1\4 gram. Take 1-2 tablets twice a day with butter. Its use cures insanity.
- If a person suffers from insanity because of spirits, make him smell turmeric smoke. Its use provides relief.
- Dry lemon seeds in sunlight and keep under the pillow of the patient. This cools patients mind and insanity is cured.

- Cook 35 grams powder of white flowers country mallow and 10 grams powder of hogweed root in milk. Cool it and give to the patient to drink in the morning. Its use cures chronic insanity.
- Prepare a powder by grinding garlic juice, Indian vulerian, seeds of albizzia lebbeck, liquorice and sweet flag each in equal quantity. Apply this powder in the eyes and make the patient smell its fragrance. Its use cures mania and insanity.
- Mix half-gram honey in 40 ml juice of Indian pennywort and half-gram costus root. Drink this preparation to end insanity.
- Mix 10 ml juice of Indian pennywort and 3 grams powder of greater galangal in honey. Give this preparation to the victim thrice a day to lick. Its use provides relief.
- Shuffle cuscus, kernels of pumpkin each 5 grams and 15 currants altogether. Give this paste to the patient once a day. Its use cures insanity within one month.
- Take the powder of red ghunghi with 250 ml juice of cow regularly for some months. Its use cures insanity occurred due to phlegm.
- Filter 100-200 ml urine of cow and give to the patient to drink regularly for one month. Its use cures insanity.
- Take sugar cane juice and milk each in equal quantity. Mix 2-3 grams pierorhiza powder in it. Give it twice a day to the patient. Its use cures insanity.
- Grind 10-12 flowers of shoe flower properly and give to the patient to drink. Its use provides relief
- Take 1-3 grams seeds of prickly lettuce, it reduces lust and erotomania is cured.
- Insanity is cured by taking 10-20 ml juice of viscum album flowers twice a day.

- Immerse eight kernels of almond in water at night and grind in the morning after peeling them with this water in which almonds were immersed. Give this preparation to the patient to drink with milk. Its use cures insanity and mind becomes normal.
- Constipation breaks by drinking 20 ml castor oil mixed milk at night. All symptoms of insanity disappear by its use.
- Prepare decoction by boiling Indian cotton plants flowers and rosewater each 10 grams. Thereafter, mix 20 grams jiggery in it and cook it until treacle creates. Take 6 grams this preparation regularly twice a day. Its use cures insanity.
- Mix 6 ml juice of neem leaves and 2 grams powder of costus root in honey. Give this preparation to the patient of insanity to get relief.
- Boil 10 grams aniseed in 500 ml water until 250 ml water remains. Filter it. Give 10 ml decoction mixing with sugar candy to the patient of insanity. Its use cures the patient of insanity.
- Grind 20 grams tamarind seeds with water and give to the patient after filtering. Its use cures insanity or mania.
- Immerse 3 grams sandal powder in 50 grams rosewater at night. Boil this preparation in the morning and make treacle by mixing sugar candy. Give this decoction to the patient, it cures insanity.
