Occupational hazards are health hazards related to the work environment of a person. An industrial worker may be exposed to the following types of hazards.

2. Chemical
3. Biological
4. Mechanical
5. Psycho-social

There are 29 notifiable occupational diseases as described in the schedule of the factory act 1948.
