Horsemint: Monarda Punctata

Hyssop: Hyssopus officinalis

Part used: Whole plant

Aromatic, sudorific, pectoral, expectorant, febrifuge, anthelmintic, aperients, stimulant, carminative, tonic

An old Bible remedy. Increases circulation, reduces blood pressure. Kills body lice and hair lice. Expels worms. Used in jaundice, dropsy, for the spleen. Removes discoloration of bruises. Excellent for fevers and for wash for the eyes. Used in quinsy and sore throat, asthma and coughs, fevers and spasms of infants. Cold infusion is a good tonic and stimulant.
