Whitlow
What is Whitlow:
When inflammation occurs in the middle part or front part of the finger, owing to this reason swelling occurs on that part because of which its internal fibers start on decaying resulting pus forms. The pus does not come out soon due to thick skin of the finger because of which germs (the germs which takes birth in the pus) generate decomposition in the fibers having entered in internal. The patient feels unbearable pain during dissection. If the pus does not come out at the proper time, the finger becomes decayed. Whitlow occurs in the front part or middle part of the fingers and nails due to inflammation and swelling.
Treatment :
- Take 3-6 grams the fine powder of Nagdanti root with juice of Indian privet and Indian beech twice a day regularly, it is useful to cure affected fingers caused by whitlow.
- Grind colocynth root and vishala root together then apply it on the affected fingers; it ends swelling and pain of the fingers.
- Tie ground leaves of sagin of on the fingers; it is useful to end swelling of the fingers.
- Grind well liquorice and mix it with ghee. Put this mixture on the finger to get relief from pain.
- Take 20-40 grams ground winter cherry twice a day, it destroys fingers germs.
- Make ointment by mixing gum guggul with ghee and apply it on the affected part, it provides relief from pain caused by wound.
- Heat betel leaves and tie it on the affected fingers, it provides relief in pain and swelling of the fingers.
- Apply Vyaghreand oil or ground marrow on the affected fingers, it reduces swelling and pain. It is useful to cure fingers wound caused by tear too.
- Coat ground lead-wort on the finger, it brings out pus from the finger. It stops decomposition of internal part too.
- Tie Vilb leaves on the finger to get relief in pain and swelling caused by whitlow.
- Take about parts to one gram sesame alkali with whey twice a day, it brings out pus from the finger and cures the finger soon.
- Mix honey with ground leaves of datura and coat it on the affected finger, it brings out pus from the finger and cures finger soon.
- Mix sesame oil with impure carbonate of potash and apply it on the affected finger, it brings out pus from the finger. It is useful to end swelling and pain
- Swelling and inflammation of finger are ended by taking 20-40 ml infusion of winter cherry twice a day.
- Boil pea with water and mix spoon sesamem oil in this water. Foment the fingers with this water and also wash it, it ends swelling of the finger caused by cold.
- If someone has been suffering from swelling or scabies of the fingers caused by more work in water or cold; boil alum with water and wash his affected finger with it, it provides relief.
- Mix rock salt with mustard oil and heat it. Apply this mixture on the finger and wear shocks at bed time, it cures swelling of the fingers.
- Boil 50 grams turnip with one liter water and put the hand and feet in this water, it ends swelling of the fingers.
