First aid treatment of bleeding from palm

It may be very severe due to the presence of many blood vessels in a network.

First Aid

1. Raise the arm above the head.
2. Place a pad of gauze over the wound and ask the victim to grab it in his fist tightly.
3. Pressure may be made over the radial pulse point or a tourniquet may be applied over the mid-arm as a last resort.
4. Shift him to a hospital immediately.
