Medicinal use of Pleurisy in Colds, Flu, Bronchial and Pulmonary ailments

Pleurisy: Asclepias Tuberosa

Expectorant, carminative, tonic, diuretic, diaphoretic, relaxant, antispasmodic

Valuable in pleurisy. Excellent for colds, flu, bronchial and pulmonary ailments. Very useful in scarlet fever, rheumatism, fevers, lung fever, typhus and measles. Clean stomach first with an emetic. Apply a cold compress to area and cover with a flannel for pleurisy. Pleurisy root is a good kidney tonic and is effective in asthma. For peritonitis, combine with a very small amount of lobelia. Promotes perspiration and expectoration in diseases of the respiratory tract. Also found valuable in uterine ailments.
